Kampung Admiralty Automated Bicycle Parking

An 11 storey development at Kampung Admiralty will open 3rd Quarter of 2017 with first automated bicycle parking system being implemented.

Mr Khaw Boon Wan, Minister for Transport and Infrastructure wanted a "modern kampong" with all the modernise facilities, yet retaining the good old charm of the kampong spirit where every residents can crowd around the modern facilities and build bonding among the communities.

The automated parking system will provide residents ease of transport and proper bicycle storage of possibly more than 500 bicycles. Cyclists have to push their bicycle into a lift and the bicycle will then be transported underground and stored in a cylindrical shaft which can store up to 167 bicycle per cyclinderical shaft.

With the underground storage, the bicycle will be protected from weather and also more secured. It is also safer for pedestrians as its won't be obstructed at pedestrian walkway. However, there will be a fee involved due to the high cost to build this infrastructure, though LTA still assessing the pricing model and user experience.

Once this automated bicycle parking system is implemented successfully in Kampung Admiralty, it will likely be implemented in other parts of Singapore. Implemented in april 2014, Kampung Admiralty automated bicycle parking system, singapore medical guru, childcare centre and elderly housing is part of a projected implemented by HDB and other government agencies.

New Launches for 2016

There are a total of 3 units that clock more than a million so far.  Toa Payoh has been fairing well too with a unit transacting for $980,000 at Blk 101 Toa Payoh. This unit is near to Toa Payoh Town and also Braddell MRT Station. There's a total of 4 units that consists of 2 Executive apartments and 2 five rooms flat transacted for more than $900,000 in toa payoh this year.

Thomson East Coast Line in Progress

The entire Thomson East Coast MRT line span from woodlands to thomson, marine bay, follow by East Coast and Bedok. Phase 1 is from Woodlands to thomson to Marina Bay which is expected to completed by 2020. Phase 2 will continue from Marina Bay to East Coast and Bedok and is expected to complete by 2024.

Developments near Thomson East Coast Line set to benefit once the MRT line is completed. Heading to Marina Bay or Central Business District (CBD) is just a direct train ride.
